Post 3: Gender stereotypes

In this case i'm going to  talk about the gender stereotypes that we can see in ireland and how that affect the live and culture in this country. How we can see in this culture the figure of the men is very strong altough the women has a more corrently figure in the myths and legends that conform a big part of this society. Some of the gender stereotypes that we can find in ireland are:

1.  Gender diversity and freedom is not well regarded in this culture.

In the past the inclusion are bad seen in this country and the people was more  reserved in this aspect of their lives, but nowadays the people have learned that all the gender need to be accepted for all of us. And the people who are different from you deserve respect for them and their rights.

In this advertisement you can see the new view that this country have about the equality about the marriage for the people of the LGBT+ community, and  as people have become more accepting that rights should be equal regardless of gender, race or ideology.

2.  Women are seen as weak and even in the workplace they are paid less.

In this country the rates of sexism are quite high and gender violence is very common, being the women victims of this and in many cases silenced by the fear that generates them to denounce their partner. But the Department of Justice of Ireland has been in charge this last decade of campaigning against gender violence and the silence that many keep about it.
